What it costs, and what a missed call costs you.

Most answering services make you ask for a price. Ours is on this page, on the product's own pricing page, and in the machine-readable file search engines read. There is no setup fee, no contract and no minimum term.

What 150 minutes actually is

A caller who leaves their name, number, the job and the address is on the phone for roughly a minute and a half. That makes the included allowance about a hundred captured jobs a month. Most one-van businesses do not miss a hundred calls a month; if you do, the overage is 20p a minute and you will know about it before the bill, because the number is on your own dashboard.

Calls that ring out with nobody speaking, and calls where the caller hangs up on hearing it is an AI, are seconds long. They are the majority of the noise and they cost you almost nothing.

What a missed call is worth — your number, not ours

We are not going to tell you a missed call costs you £X. We do not know your average job, and a confident figure invented by a supplier is the oldest trick in this trade. Here is the arithmetic; put your own numbers in.

  1. 01

How many calls do you miss in a normal week?

Your phone knows. Look at the missed-call list for the last seven days and count the ones that were not your mum.

  2. 02

What does a job you actually win pay you?

Not the biggest one. The ordinary one.

  3. 03

How many of those callers would have booked?

Be hard on yourself. One in five is a normal, honest answer.

Missed calls a week × 4 × your average job × your win rate = what a month of not answering costs. Worked example, not a promise: 6 missed calls a week, a £220 job, one in five books — that is 24 calls a month, about 5 jobs, £1,056. Your numbers will be different, and only yours matter. There is a calculator with the same arithmetic on the product site.
